Manchester City will face Sevilla in the 2023 European Super Cup. Here is the Man City vs Sevilla prediction.

The Man City vs Sevilla clash will be a meeting of two Champions League winning teams against the Europa League champions.

Man City won the Champions League title for the first time after beating Inter Milan 1-0 in the final which took place on June 11. Meanwhile, Sevilla won their seventh title in the Europa League after winning 4-1 (1-1) on penalties over AS Roma.

The Man City vs Sevilla duel will take place at the Karaiskakis Stadium, Piraeus, Greece, Thursday (17/8) at 02.00 WIB.

Man City came into this match not full strength. Pep Guardiola's team minus Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias.

De Bruyne is even certain to be sidelined for a long time due to a hamstring injury. The Belgian star is expected to be out for up to four months.

Man City started this season well after beating promoted team Burnley with a score of 3-0 at Turf Moor, last Friday (11/8).

Sevilla experienced different conditions, which actually lost 1-2 to Valencia at home in the first match of the Spanish League, Saturday (12/8).

Man City vs Sevilla have met in total four times in the group phase of the Champions League in the 2015/2016 season and the 2022/2023 season. The Citizens appeared powerful by buying up four wins over the Spanish representatives.

With that note, Erling Haaland and friends deserve to be the favorites to win the trophy. Even so, Los Nervionenses still has the potential to surprise Man City.

The following is the prediction for Man City vs Sevilla in the European Super Cup:

Man City Wins Even Without Key Players (Juprianto Alexander)

Man City is in less than ideal conditions. The Citizens will not be reinforced by Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias.

The absence of these three players is clearly disturbing. However, I expect Pep Guardiola's team to remain too strong for Sevilla.

Man City will rely on Haaland, who immediately stepped on the gas by scoring 2 goals in the Premier League's first match. Sevilla will put up a tough fight but Los Nervionenses are still not strong enough to hold off Man City.
