PSS Sleman made a surprise by qualifying for the semifinals of the 2022 President's Cup. Seto Nurdiantoro's troops stepped into the semifinals by overthrowing Persib Bandung via a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals.


PSS Sleman will have a difficult opponent in the semifinals, Borneo FC. Since the group stage, Borneo FC has never lost. Of the five matches played, Pesut Etam won four wins and only failed to win once.


Borneo FC has a promising front line combination with Stefano Lilipaly and Matheus Pato. The combination of the two has scored six goals. They got support from Jonathan Bustos and Kei Hirose who were the engine of the game from midfield.

"Saturday, we returned from Bandung. Monday, we just practiced. In terms of recovery, there is more time. I think it is almost the same as Borneo," explained Seto.


Borneo FC coach, Milomir Seslija gave his opinion on PSS Sleman. The former coach of Arema FC and PSM Makassar felt that PSS was difficult to predict. Moreover, when playing at home, PSS often played very well.


"PSS are unpredictable, but we are in good form. We are ready to face them," he said.
